Driver
Driver app & proof of delivery
Start the route, capture signature and photo, record shorts and refusals, collect COD, then close the day.
Open My Deliveries or the Driver App
Sign in as a driver. On the web, open My Deliveries (desktop-friendly list of your stops). On a handheld, use Driver App. Both use the same POD flow after you open a stop. You should see today’s route after dispatch has sent the round. If you see “No dispatched route,” wait — do not start a paper run.
Before you leave the yard
- Confirm stop count, remaining drops, COD due, and vehicle.
- Tap Cache day while you still have depot Wi-Fi so the day works in a dead zone.
- Tap Start route.
Work stops in sequence. The app is built for gloves and poor signal — large taps, offline queue, then sync.
At each stop
- Open the stop. Confirm address; use the maps link if you need navigation.
- If the account is credit-blocked at delivery, you will see a block — do not leave stock and hope. Call the office.
- Adjust quantities only when something is actually short, substituted, or refused. Pick a reason code. Some reasons require a photo.
- Capture signature and photo for POD (photo may be required by settings).
- For COD accounts, record the collection.
- Submit the POD once. Do not create a second POD for the same stop if sync is slow — wait; retries are safe (idempotent).
Exceptions
- Short — delivered less than ordered.
- Refusal — customer declines all or part.
- Failed — no access, closed, no show.
- Substitution — a different SKU, only if your process allows it and you record it.
Office staff see these on the pre-invoice queue. Honest reason codes matter more than a perfect drop rate.
End of day
Open End of day / close route when stops are done. Reconcile COD and any returns you brought back. The office cannot invoice cleanly until POD is in.
